Creativity;

Recently in lessons we have been talking about creativity and what it means and what it means to be creative.

Objectives that were to be completed by the end of the lesson;

  • To explore what it is to be creative.
  • To use a poem as a stimulus for ideas.

Creativity= Fantasy, Vision, Inspiration, Originality and Innovative.

The poem we looked at in class was called A Poison Tree, by William Blake.

I was angry with my friend:
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

And I watered it in fears,
Night and morning with my tears;
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles.

And it grew both day and night
Till it bore an apple bright;
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine,

And into my garden stole
When the night had veiled the pole:
In the morning glad I see
My foe outstretched beneath the tree.

William Blake

I believed the poem was creative because of the message behind it and although it did not openly say the true meaning behind it the author writ it in such a way that it seems like he is describing something else when really he is describing his anger and emotions.
